The Instagram for WooCommerce extension by Kestrel is a WordPress plugin that provides you with the ability to display Instagram photos filtered by hashtags on the product pages of your WooCommerce store.

It also includes the feature of uploading your products to a Facebook Catalog in order to use them in the different services provided by Facebook, like Instagram Shopping, Facebook Ads, Facebook shops, etc.

Information Collection and Storage

We do not collect or store any of your Instagram login information, Access Tokens, or content. As the plugin is installed on your website then any information is stored within your website’s database. Your Instagram login information is not stored in your database by our plugin. Our plugin stores your Instagram Access Token for use in retrieving public content from Instagram’s API. It also temporarily stores the raw JSON data from Instagram’s API, which is then displayed as HTML when your web page is loaded. The plugin does not collect any data from the visitors to your website.

We collect only basic logs information when you connect your store with our application and renew your access periodically. This includes the connection information, such as browser type and version, operating system, mobile platform and other technical identifiers. The date, time, user agent, referrer URL and any relevant data submitted by your request – like your store URL. We don’t collect your IP address. The collected data is only for statistical purposes and to monitor the proper functioning of our service.

Information the Plugin Displays

The plugin optionally displays the following data: photos, photo captions, the number of likes and comments a photo has, your Instagram username, the number of followers and photos your account has, your account tagline, the date of the photo, the location of the photo, and the link to your Instagram account.

Reading of Data

The plugin is built to be “read-only” and so is not able to publish any data to, or edit any data on the Instagram platform. The plugin is intended only to display some Instagram public content and is not able to publish to Instagram or access your Instagram account other than in a “read-only” fashion. It does not allow you to like or comment on content, edit or delete photos, or perform any of the other actions that the Instagram platform allows.

Sharing of Data

We will not share your data with any third parties under any circumstances.

Removal of Stored Data

When the plugin is removed from your website the saved data is deleted from your database, unless you choose to have it remain by enabling the relevant setting in the plugin.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy in the future. If a change is made to this policy that we believe is material then we will update this page. By continuing to use the plugin after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
