The screenshot shows the Teamster home page with each of its modules explained.

The home page of Teamster offers flexibility, with three modules you can turn on and off — About, Author, and Featured Post.

The About module provides a snippet about you, your team, or your site. It also offers the ability to link to your contact page.

Set the title of the module, pick the page you’d like the link to use, and write an excerpt in the provided text box.

The Author module shows off posts from your team of authors. To add authors, create users in the WordPress admin, then fill out biographical, contact and blog details and social links.

Enable the Author Sorter and choose how many authors and what post type to show. You can also include a link to your team page. Teamster includes a team page template to use.

The featured post module and slider can be enabled/disabled under the “Featured Panel” theme options.

The home page featured slider can be used to display noteworthy content and works via a tag you can setup in the “Featured Panel” theme options. The slider uses custom post images for the slide image, and then shows the the title and content on the slide image.

Adding a portfolio item

  1. Go to Portfolio > Add New.
  2. Enter a title and body content.
  3. Add an “Image” in the Custom Settings panel if you want it to appear as the thumbnail image.
  4. Set the rest of the Custom Settings panel.
  5. Publish.

Teamster comes with support for two menus. The Primary Menu is located to the right of your theme header. The Top Menu appear in a strip across the top of the site and can be activated at Appearance > Menus.

To create a dedicated team page, create a new page and assign the Team page template. It need not have content.

Go to Appearance > Menus, and add a menu item to your navigation so visitors can access the page.

Note: Authors must have at least one published post to be listed on the Team page.

There are 10 custom widgets you can add to any widgetized area. Go to Appearance > Widgets to add them.
