Configuration

Quick Order settings are simple and easy to follow. You can find the plugin settings by following the Quick Order Sub-menu under the WooCommerce Menu on the dashboard. Once on the settings page, you will be able to configure the following options of the plugin.
  • Title for thumbnail fields
  • Title for product fields
  • Title for quantity fields
  • Title for price fields
  • Title for actions fields
As discussed already, the main feature of the plugin is to enable the customers to quickly look up their desired item from the store. So, this functionality has been implemented and made available to the customers on the front-end in the tabular form, containing rows and columns. Each column will either require input from the customer (like Add button, Product search and Product Quantity fields) or show specific information of the searched item (like Thumbnail image and Product Price). Therefore, dashboard options of the plugin as mentioned above enable the store owners to change the name of the columns as per their liking. Let’s briefly go through each of these options.
  • Title for thumbnail fields:
Enables the store owner to change the name of the thumbnail column (of the searched item). Defaults to Thumbnail.
  • Title for product fields
Enables the store owner to change the name of the Product (searched item) column. Defaults to Products.
  • Title for quantity fields
Enables the store owner to change the name of the Quantity column (of the searched item). Defaults to Quantity.
  • Title for price fields
Enables the store owner to change the name of the Price column (of the searched item). Defaults to Price.
  • Title for actions fields
Enables the store owner to change the name of the Actions column (of the searched item). Defaults to Actions.

Shortcode

Quick Order comes with a handy shortcode, shared below, which you can use anywhere on your store to display the plugin features on the front-end.

However, it is recommended to embed the shortcode in a separate page and include that page in the main menu Moreover, we have also made a quick video, shared below, to explain the configuration process of the Quick Order for WooCommerce plugin.

Quick Order on the Front-end

Quick Order provides an intuitive interface following the minimalist design approach. The front-end interface consists of two sections.

  • The Product Search Section
  • The Temporary Bucket Section

The Product Search Section

This section is the main feature of the plugin which enables the customers to quickly search for the item they want to buy. As discussed in the Configuration section of this guide. The information is presented in tabular form and contains five separate columns.

In this section, we will go through the step-by-step process of adding items, instead of explaining each column sequentially. In case you need further information please refer to the Configuration section above.

  1. The customer will first search for the desired item in the search field of the second column namely Products.
  2. The plugin will show suggested items matching the customer query in the drop-down.
  3. Upon selecting the desired item by the customer. The plugin will auto display the following information of the item in the corresponding columns.
  • Product thumbnail (if exists)
  • Product Quantity (Option to change the quantity. Default is 1)
  • Product Price (Price is automatically calculated, based on the price per item and the total quantity of the item. Default is 0 )
  1. The customer will add the item(s) to the Temporary Bucket by clicking the Add button.

Note: customers can search and add as many items as they want.

The Temporary Bucket Section

The Temporary bucket is the list of items the customer has searched for and wants to add to the cart. The Temporary bucket is useful for the following reasons.

  • Enables the customer to overview all the items searched individually.
  • To remove the items the customer no longer wants to buy via Remove button in the fifth column of the selected item.
  • A one-click option to add all the items to the cart via Add to Cart button on the bottom-left side of the section.

Moreover, we have also made a quick video, shared below, to explain the necessary steps to quickly search and add items to the cart by using front-end interface of the Quick Order for WooCommerce plugin.
