Disable Projects CSS

If you’re working a theme that will integrate with Projects we recommend disabling the stock stylesheet and including your own. This will avoid any conflicts if/when we modify the stock CSS.

To do so you can use wp_dequeue_style() or the projects_enqueue_styles filter.

Note: This is a Developer level doc. If you are unfamiliar with code/templates and resolving potential conflicts, select a WooExpert or Developer for assistance. We are unable to provide support for customizations under our  Support Policy.

Using wp_dequeue_style ↑ Back to top

To remove a specific stylesheet you’d use wp_dequeue_style() which would be wrapped in a function and hooked into wp_enqueue_scripts() like so:

add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'jk_dequeue_projects_css', 999 );
function jk_dequeue_projects_css() {
    wp_dequeue_style( 'projects-styles' ); // Disable general projects css
    wp_dequeue_style( 'projects-handheld' ); // Disable handheld projects css
    if ( is_project() ) {
        wp_dequeue_style( 'dashicons' ); // Disable dashicons
    }
}

Using the projects_enqueue_styles filter ↑ Back to top

To simply remove all styles regardless add

add_filter( 'projects_enqueue_styles', '__return_false' );

To your theme.
